“On Friday afternoon, 14 June 2019, we had the misfortune to have our radiator fail on a trip from North Carolina to Virginia; we were 40 minutes into a 5-hour trip. Calling AAA, they were cordial, professional and efficient and they recommended and subsequently towed us to an approved AAA auto center (“MAX’s Auto Service, Inc.”).
It is difficult, in a short dispatch, to share the scope of service, professionalism and kindness we experienced from this AAA approved auto center. Greg Williams, Service Manager, advised us on the phone before our arrival that he would do everything he could to locate a radiator and get us back on the road. He was true to his word. And, although it was late on a Friday afternoon when he received the radiator, he worked well into the evening to complete the work and ensure the car was safe to proceed on our journey. Mr. Williams superior service, although above and beyond, was eclipsed by his many kindnesses during this extended period that we were in his waiting room; caring for our subsistence and potential lodging.
This inconvenience, where certainly not preferred, was mitigated by the “humanity” of this experience with Mr. Williams and his auto service. In short. it was worth the inconvenience to experience the reminder of the good in some people. Mr. Williams has my deepest respect and admiration.
Whatever metrics AAA uses to identify service stations that meet your standards, I assure you that they were spot on with Max’s Auto Service and Mr. Williams.”
